The inter- and transdisciplinary network is an action-oriented network that aims at operationalising existing concepts on eco-innovations, green economy, and sustainable development to be better understood by actors all over the world, especially policy makers. In a similar fashion, sees itself as a knowledge broker to communicate the European efforts and achievements in the fields of sustainable development and eco-innovations on the one hand and to receive information in this field from other parts of the world on the other. Living up this claim also demands to have a strong interdisciplinary character that complements the research-based view by more solution-based concepts from various stakeholders.
