2 - Zero Hunger

Innovations oriented to end hunger can take multiple forms. Innovations to provide sustainable and healthy food and nutrition to feed and provide well-being to the world's population can be found in low-salt and fat foods, high-nutrition ingredients derived from waste biomass. Worldwide, multiple solutions are now tackling different geographical and nuclear levels: individual, families, households, communities, supply and value chains, cities, regions.

For example, convergent innovation is a type of innovation that combines technological, institutional, social, behavioural and economic innovation addressing fundamental challenges of achieving sustainable and healthy agro-food systems. In india, for example, a convergent innovation hub focusing on pulse innovation is bringing about nutritious products and social ventures with additional benefits for the local community.
